I'm Not a Cupcake Bride

The classic ballgown silhouette flatters many figures and shapes, however on some women, a voluminous "cupcake" gown can swallow up the bride.  Just because Cinderella had an elegant ballgown, does not mean it is the best choice for everyone.  Every couple has their own style.  They have their own habits, interests, and emotions, in the end creating what I like to call their "couple personality."  Independently, a bride has her own personality.  She has certain qualities that make her unique.  A dress in and of itself can have a personality, and when put on the right girl, it just makes sense.  My advice to you blushing brides out there trying to find the perfect silhouette for your body, is to think about the overall image you want to portray at your wedding.  If you have a theme, incorporate that into your dress search.  Choose something you are comfortable wearing; if you're self-conscious, it's harder to be confident.  That being said, what is it that makes you confident?  What makes you feel the most beautiful?  If you don't see yourself dancing the night away in a ballgown you could potentially lose a glass shoe in, A-line is the way to go.

Look through some of these designers' collections and find the style that fits your personality!
